Retirees and empty nesters ministry

Ablaze is a network for people in the the middle and latter phases of their lives.

There are 5 aims of the ministry:

  • Maintaining a ministry mindset

  • Providing mutual encouragement and support

  • Reaching others in this age group outside the church community

  • Promoting cross-generational interaction

  • Preparing for Eternity

We meet once a term on Sunday afternoons to consider a topic relevant to our age group. In the past we have looked at Wise living in 3 areas - Home, Finances, and Travel; Singleness and Grieving; Discipling others; Mental Health; Ageing Parents; Navigating the Generation gap; Digital Safety plus others.

We also meet between Term events on Sunday afternoon for Bible Discussion on the specific focus of ageing well and finishing strongly.
